Onboard the Oasis 40
Built by Benetti, the Oasis 40 carries her 40 metres with a low, wide-decked confidence rather than sheer bulk. The beach club at the stern opens the water line directly to the sea, and the sundeck spa gives the upper deck a second, quieter register for guests who want shade and stillness rather than another lounge area. Below, five cabins sleep up to 12, sized for a family group or a small circle of friends rather than a full-scale event.
A day out of Port Olímpic works well on a boat this size: the run south to Sitges takes a few hours, and once anchored off the bay the beach club platform puts swimmers straight into the water without ladders or fuss. Lunch can be taken al fresco on the aft deck, plates moving easily between the galley and the table as the group drifts between sun and shade. It suits the kind of day where nobody is watching the clock.
Because the layout favours five well-proportioned cabins over maximum bunk count, the Oasis 40 tends to draw multi-generational families and close friend groups booking together rather than large mixed parties. Cruising at around 16 knots, she is equally set up for a single day on the water or a longer run down the coast with an overnight or two built in. Departures are arranged from Port Olímpic, with Med mooring handled as part of the berth.
