Onboard the The Wellesley
At 56 metres, The Wellesley carries an unusually light guest load for her size: twelve people across six cabins, so the deck space, lounges and dining areas rarely feel claimed by numbers. Built by Oceanco, she has the proportions of a full-size yacht with the pace of a private house rather than a busy vessel working through a full guest list.
Her scale suits a formal booking on Barcelona Bay as much as a family week away. A corporate host might use her for a client lunch with the Sagrada Família skyline behind the table, departing Port Olímpic where the crew handle the exit through what is one of the busier commercial harbours on this coast. On another booking, the same six cabins split naturally between two or three families or couples travelling together, with enough separation between decks that groups aren't sharing every space.
Longer bookings toward the Balearics are within her range, given the two-day passage from Barcelona and the fuel and supply planning that a run of that length asks for. Shorter days along the coast, including a run down to Sitges, work equally well and ask less of the schedule. Either way, twelve guests and six cabins is the number to plan around when deciding how the days on board should be split.
